Welcome to the Roundhay and Oakwood Festival 2018

This year’s Roundhay and Oakwood Festival – Roundhay and oakwood programme 2018 -will host a variety of exciting events across the North Leeds area. Sponsored by Southlands, part of Westward Care and the Roundhay Councillors and organised by OTRA (Oakwood Trader’s Residents Association), it will run over the half term week, 27th October to 3rd November 2018, there will be over 40 events in 21 locations over one week.

There will be a quilting exhibition hosted by the Roundhay Quilters Group, there will be a spell and wand workshop to entice young Harry Potter fans, talks on how to become plastic free, Belly dancing and Turkish food, Oakwood Craft and Food Market, ask questions of local solicitors, find out about girlguiding, brownies and cubs, win a quiz, learn how to linocut, pumpkin carving, snooker taster sessions, festival cream tea, even an Adult’s School Disco (school uniform compulsory!). If you go down to the bumps on Halloween we are sure you’ll find something ghoulish as well as some sweet delights. If you wanted to know about marketing, HR issues, wills and estates as well as how to set up a company, Oakwood Solicitors will be laying on free drop in sessions. Southlands Retirement Apartments by Westward Care will be putting on a history talk about the Southlands and Oakwood. There is a puppet workshop as well as a poetry workshop to whet your appetite. Lots of events for kids and big kids alike.
